Podsumowanie projektu
The Salerno-Reggio Calabria high-speed line project requires construction of 35-kilometers of new rail line, including tunnels, viaducts, roadways, and electrical substations. Upon completion, it will be harmoniously integrated into the surrounding environment, maximizing environmental protection and promoting sustainable transportation development. Italferr is delivering the project and wanted to coordinate multidiscipline project participants and stakeholders spanning several municipalities. To facilitate data exchange, reviews, and evaluations, Italferr needed to establish a connected data environment and digital twin.Italferr selected ProjectWise and Bentley’s open applications to generate 504 BIM models. Using iTwin automated synchronization of the models into a cloud-based digital twin, enabling visual, virtual design reviews among the multiple disciplines and stakeholders, reducing travel and on-site visits by 50%. Working in a connected, user-friendly digital environment improved efficiencies by 10% and boosted productivity, saving significant resource hours and resulting in higher quality digital deliverables for the client.
