Resumen del proyecto

Aligned with the city’s sustainability commitment, Jakarta is developing a 46.8-kilometer light rail transit (LRT) system that will reduce their annual carbon footprint by 21 million passenger trips, decreasing reliance on vehicles and fossil fuels. Waskita Karya is the main contractor delivering LRT’s first phase, extending 6.4 kilometers through an active urban corridor, presenting site constraints and requiring coordination of multiple stakeholders, making it challenging to minimize public disruption and keep the project on schedule.

Waskita Karya leveraged Bentley ProjectWise, iTwin, and SYNCHRO to integrate reality capture, BIM, and 4D simulation. Using Bentley’s applications, they established a connected data environment and digital twin, allowing the team to visualize logistical and construction constraints and optimize planning. Working in an integrated digital ecosystem facilitated real-time data sharing and remote monitoring capabilities that improved data exchange by 80% and reduced field inspections by 20%. The digital twin solution optimized material usage and saved 7,356 liters of fuel, reducing environmental impact and saving USD 14.82 million in costs.
