Résumé du projet
Led by CSCEC AECOM, this project aims to diagnose urban drainage system issues through 3D modeling and digital analysis, ensuring flood resilience under extreme rainfall to protect 300,000 residents in China’s Jinchuan district. Faced with aging infrastructure, missing data, complex underground utilities, and coordinating a multidiscipline team, CSCEC’s traditional 2D design approach failed to adequately meet the project’s modeling, analysis, and collaboration requirements. They needed an integrated, comprehensive, and collaborative hydraulic technology solution.
Leveraging Bentley OpenFlows and OpenRoads with 3D reality modeling applications, CSCEC established and open, connected data environment and digital twin. Using the model to perform hydrodynamic simulations, they optimized drainage system design, reducing design errors by 90% and piping material waste by 15%. Working in a collaborative platform shortened the construction period by 40%. The digital solution reduced carbon emissions by 500 tons and eliminated flood risk of 1,146 hectares. The project establishes a replicable digital benchmark for urban flood control in Northwest China.
