Capable of processing up to 2,500 tons of daily municipal solid waste, the RDF Jakarta Plant directly addresses the city’s critical waste management crisis, mitigating landfill overuse, generating sustainable alternative fuels, and reducing annual carbon emissions by 100,000 tons. PT Wijaya Karya is delivering the project and faced complex data and workflow integration challenges, compounded by site, budget, and schedule constraints. PT Wijaya Karya needed to transition from fragmented manual workflows to an integrated digital design, construction, and cost management approach.
PT Wijaya Karya selected Bentley ProjectWise, iTwin, and SYNCHRO to establish a connected digital ecosystem, enabling real-time 3D modeling, 4D construction sequencing, and 5D cost management. Integrating collaborative modeling, digital twins, and visual construction planning accelerated workflows by 30% to commission the project within 10 months while reducing overall costs by 15%. The digital strategy sets an industry benchmark, driving economic gains and environmental and societal sustainability beyond conventional project delivery methods.
