The team led a full-lifecycle digital innovation program for offshore wind equipment, including jacket foundations, suction buckets, and small wind urbines. They had to manage complex deep-water geology, extreme sea states, market price pressures, manufacturing precision, and disconnected engineering workflows that drove efficient designs, higher steel use, and rework.
Using Bentley applications, the team connected analysis, fabrication, construction simulation, collaboration, and operations support. The unified work environment cut foundation steel use 15% to 25%, reduced manufacturing rework 60% to 80%, shortened offshore installation cycles 30% to 40%, and improved offshore wind project ROI. Lighter foundations reduced CO2 by about 540 to 900 tons per unit and support lower-cost clean energy delivery.
