Chris Luebkeman is educated as a geologist, engineer, and architect. He is a former professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, the University of Oregon, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1999, Chris joined Arup as Director of Research and Development, where he became a corporate entrepreneur and founded the Foresight, Innovation, and Incubation team. There he led hundreds of workshops and strategy sessions exploring the potential impact of key drivers of change across cities and industries, including mobility, hospitality, retail, leisure, and energy. Chris is an author, facilitator, international speaker, futurist, strategist, and commentator on contemporary global change. After 20 years at Arup, he returned to his alma mater to support the president in ensuring the institutions future fitness.
Kaushik Chakraborty serves as senior vice president and regional executive, Asia Pacific, at Bentley Systems. He is responsible for driving regional growth, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and expanding the adoption of Bentley’s engineering, geospatial, and infrastructure digital twin solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. His focus is on helping infrastructure organizations accelerate project delivery, enhance asset performance, and advance their digital transformation initiatives.
Before joining Bentley in 2015, Kaushik held senior leadership roles at Intergraph and Leica Geosystems, with responsibilities spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Daniel Tan Siong Heng joined Sanli in 2021 and currently serves as head of operations, overseeing the operational activities and project execution of the EPC business unit and Enviro Plant & Engineering Pte. Ltd. He is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of projects, optimizing performance, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
With over three decades of experience in water and wastewater treatment and electro-chlorination plant operations, Daniel has managed significant projects for clients such as PUB and successfully completed the Oman Nimr MBR project. He has also spearheaded over 100 electro-chlorination projects across Asia, ranging from power plants to FPSOs and municipal plants.
Daniel holds a bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a master of science degree in environmental engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Howie Tan an accomplished project delivery leader with more than two decades of experience in project and operations management, design, construction and commercial management cutting across the infrastructure and industrial sectors. He has played key roles in delivering some of Singapore’s most complex and transformative water infrastructure projects.
His involvement in Singapore’s Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) began in 2001 as a resident engineer for the DTSS Phase 1 Changi Water Reclamation Plant and T01 projects. Today, as project director for Tuas Water Reclamation Plant, a key component of DTSS Phase 2, Howie oversees the integration of more than 15 major construction packages and leads a multidisciplinary team of over 100 professionals on the multibillion-dollar programme.
Howie also serves as director of delivery excellence for Jacobs’ water business in East and Southeast Asia, where he champions best practices in project delivery, risk management and quality assurance. His water sector experience spans the entire water cycle, from used water treatment and stormwater management to drinking water and desalination.
A member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore and the Society of Project Managers, Howie brings extensive experience and practical insight to discussions on sustainable water solutions, integrated resource management and delivering complex infrastructure at scale.
Mark Wong the senior deputy director from PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. He is spearheading the development of the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (Tuas WRP), which is a key component of the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) Phase 2 project. When completed, Tuas WRP will be one of the world’s largest membrane bioreactor facilities and more than double the energy recovery compared to conventional plants. At the same time, Tuas WRP will derive synergies with NEA’s Integrated Waste Management Facility to form the Tuas Nexus.
Previously, Mark was in the policy and planning department, where he was responsible for planning and design of water infrastructure to meet Singapore’s long-term needs.
Mark graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering in 2007 (Bronze Tablet recipient) and a master of science in electrical and computer engineering in 2008. He is a Chartered Engineer (Singapore) in environmental and water engineering. In 2022, Mark was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in recognition of his merit and service to Singapore.

Nicholas Cumins is chief executive officer and a board director of Bentley Systems, the infrastructure engineering software company reshaping how infrastructure systems and critical resources are delivered and optimized across their lifecycle.
Under his leadership, Bentley is expanding its role from project delivery to lifecycle intelligence. It helps engineers, constructors, operators, and resource developers use digital intelligence and trustworthy AI to make infrastructure more resilient, efficient, and sustainable.
Before becoming CEO, Nicholas served as Bentley’s chief operating officer and chief product officer, guiding the company’s shift to an open, cloud-based platform and accelerating the adoption of digital twins. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at SAP, Scytl, and OpenX.
Nicholas holds master’s degrees in law and business from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and is a dual French and U.S. citizen based in France.

Chris Bradshaw is chief sustainability and education officer at Bentley Systems, bringing together Bentley’s sustainability and education initiatives with the objective of empowering Bentley’s users to achieve sustainable and resilient outcomes, while ensuring the next generation of engineers has the tools and knowledge to succeed. He joined Bentley as chief marketing officer and was previously chief marketing and product officer of Blue Prism Group, a London-based software company that specializes in robotic process automation. Chris also worked at Autodesk in a variety of leadership roles, including chief marketing officer. Additionally, he managed flight software development for the United States Air Force, where he guided the development, testing, and integration of on-board computer systems for two national space programs. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from Duke University. He serves as a member of the Board of Project Lead the Way, a K-12 STEM education non-profit organization.
Dr. Dayaram Sonawane is the registrar of COEP Technological University, Pune, and a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and educator with more than 28 years of experience in higher education, research, and institutional administration. He has been instrumental in driving academic excellence, administrative reforms, research advancement, and industry collaborations at COEP while serving in various leadership and faculty roles.
Dayaram’s research expertise encompasses model predictive control, embedded optimization, machine learning-based control systems, battery management systems, electric mobility, and IoT-enabled intelligent systems. He has held prestigious postdoctoral and visiting faculty appointments at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington University in St. Louis, and CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay, France, contributing to international research collaborations in advanced control and energy systems.
Dayaram has successfully led numerous government- and industry-sponsored projects funded by organizations including ANRF, DRDO, AICTE, and MHRD, and has contributed extensively to research through over 20 journal publications, more than 45 conference papers, a book, and multiple patents. His achievements have been recognized through several national and international awards, fellowships, and professional distinctions.

Shruti Chenna is pursuing an M.Tech in environmental and water resources engineering at COEP Technological University, Pune, India, with a background in civil engineering. She is passionate about water resources management, sustainable infrastructure, and the use of digital technologies to solve environmental and infrastructure challenges. Currently, Shruti is a water resources intern at Walter P Moore, Pune, where she is working on flood risk assessment and water resources projects.
Shruti’s expertise spans hydraulic modelling, rainfall-runoff analysis, GIS-based spatial analysis, and water and sewer network modelling using OpenFlows Water and OpenFlows Sewer. Through her academic, professional, and student leadership activities at COEP, she has developed a strong understanding of the link between academia and industry. As a student representative at the 2026 Year in Infrastructure Awards, Shruti is eager to share her perspective on infrastructure education and contribute to discussions on preparing future-ready infrastructure professionals.
Abhiram Supekar leads the transportation group at Walter P Moore and brings over 16 years of experience in transportation and infrastructure engineering, including eight years with the organization. He has extensive expertise in the planning, design, review, and delivery of complex roadway and transportation projects across the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and India.
Prior to joining Walter P Moore, Abhiram held senior engineering roles with leading global firms, including WSP and Beca, where he contributed to major infrastructure programs involving roadway reconstruction, highway widening, active transportation networks, and municipal engineering. His project portfolio includes assignments for TxDOT, Auckland Airport, World Bank-funded infrastructure initiatives, and several city and regional transportation authorities.
In addition to transportation engineering, Abhiram has experience in storm drainage and water supply projects, enabling an integrated approach to infrastructure design. He is highly proficient in industry-leading digital engineering technologies, including OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and ProjectWise. Through his technical leadership and global project experience, he is passionate about advancing innovative and digitally enabled solutions that support the delivery of safe, sustainable, and resilient transportation infrastructure.
