Haskoning was responsible for 59 inspections of maritime and highways assets at the Port of Dover, where inspection quality affects safety, freight, passenger movement, and port continuity. The team had to plan around vessel calls, tides, weather, security controls, and hazardous water access while maintaining Dover’s existing reporting formats and avoiding repeated manual handling of inspection evidence.
Using iTwin Experience, Haskoning connected drone-derived 3D mesh models with structured inspection forms, CSV exports, Excel/Power Query validation, and Python-driven report automation. The workflow created 3,520 structured records, saved 1,080 reporting hours, delivered a 33% productivity gain across 88 deliverables, reduced hazardous access exposure by 60 work hours, and cut repeat visits by four days, giving Dover Harbour Board a clearer evidence base for repair planning and monitoring.
