Project summary

Kiewit wanted to modernize project delivery across their transportation, water, energy, and industrial programs. They needed a new system that could help distributed design and construction teams work from the same project information while reducing friction from fragmented data environments, inconsistent metadata, and difficult handoffs from design to construction.

Using Bentley Infrastructure Cloud with iTwin-connected model information, Kiewit established a governed, spatially aware project baseline for search, reporting, and issue-driven coordination. The framework, dubbed LAND (Leveraging Automation for NextGen Delivery), cut recurring data management by 75 hours per project per month, reduced coordination rework by 25%, and improved delivery quality by reducing late-cycle errors by 30%. It also gave teams a repeatable way to make faster, more reliable decisions across projects.
