Project summary
As part of the redevelopment and modernization of a military high school in Romania, Leviatan is constructing a new canteen facility and laundry building, contributing to a healthier, safer, and more sustainable campus for over 700 students and 70 staff members. The project presented complex logistics and scheduling, compounded by coordinating multiple contractors and stakeholders and meeting stringent military standards. Previous fragmented construction management approaches failed to meet the precise planning, collaboration, and resource efficiency necessary for optimal project delivery.
Leveraging Bentley SYNCHRO for 4D construction management, Leviatan linked the construction schedule to the digital model and performed visual simulations to proactively address potential issues before they impacted the project timeline. Working in an integrated digital environment streamlined workflows, accelerating the construction schedule by 15% and avoiding approximately EUR 200,000 in potential rework. Through digital management, they improved resource efficiency by 8% and reduced total carbon emissions by an estimated 57.5 tons. The SYNCRHO model provides the foundation for a performance digital twin to digitally manage facility operations.
